Can you heal a specific problem for me or my loved one?
This comes up more than anything else. Often, as soon as someone signs up for this free Reiki service, they send in a specific, personal request.
First of all, there's nothing wrong with that. It shows an interest in Reiki that I'm very excited to see. And also, as I'll explain in a minute, I DO make the best use I can of the request.
But it's important for me to explain here what I can and cannot do in this service. Since this is a FREE service, I obviously cannot put in hours a day responding to all the individual requests that come in. The idea to this service is that it provides for a GROUP. Once a week, I send a healing to everyone in the group. This does not focus on individual needs.
HOWEVER ... I do read all incoming requests and at least give the intention that these be honored in the group healing. Please know that I do not respond to these e-mails, because I don't have the time ... but I DO read them.
Can you tell me when you'll hold the next Reiki session?
The answer to this one is much the same as the above question. This is a free service, so I cannot commit to one time when I will always send the energy. As I mention on the home page, I usually find quiet time late at night (Eastern Standard Time in the U.S.) for meditation and Reiki, and usually send the group energy on the weekend.
Realistically, I often find that I send energy more than once a week. When a strong flow of energy comes through in meditation (or just during my regular day), I often turn my attention to the group and send out additional energy. But again, the timing can never be given beforehand. Luckily, you'll receive the energy as much as you're able to whether or not you're paying attention. This has to do with your etheric body and not your conscious mind.
What should I feel during the Reiki session?
In part, this depends on whether you happen to be concentrating on energy (and how sensitive you are to it) when I'm in the midst of a session. But there are a lot of factors to this question, and I've devoted a whole article to it here.
What can Reiki really do for me?
This again depends on a number of circumstances. The short answer is that it has the POTENTIAL to boost your energy and to assist in your overall state of health. Secondary effects can be many. How can I get a free INDIVIDUAL Reiki session?
Right now, I am offering free individual sessions in the case of newborns and in these instances.
Do you offer distance attunements?
No I don't. And I have my suspicion that most people who think they are providing attunements probably are not.
You should understand that being able to use Reiki has a lot to do with someone's spiritual evolution. Have they trained in this in past lives, or have they done other things in former lives or their current life that helps them with energy manipulation? Or are they just waking up to that world? If they're just waking up, are they doing so with an innate talent, or do their talents lie elsewhere and this will take time to develop?
In other words, you can't simply go to a weekend seminar, become a "Reiki master," and then start charging other people for attunements (or even doing so for free). You might have the best intentions in the world, but this idea of just freely passing along this kind of energetic mastery is NOT spiritual realism.
I'm in a place where I feel well developed to manipulate energy to the degree necessary for Reiki treatments, and as I do so, I am studying the results to try making this a more objective practice that can be brought to the mainstream world. But I do not yet feel qualified to initiate others -- which, by the way, is a good word to use. "Initiate" means, of course, "to begin." It doesn't mean "to provide." Attunements or initiations don't give the gift -- the provide an energetic opening that needs to be developed.
Again, in some cases, someone may have developed something to such a degree previously, they are immediate masters today. But you can imagine how rare that is. Be careful when looking to others for this service and forking over your money for it.
Do you recommend others who can attune me?
No I don't. But ...
For reasons above, I'm very cautious about people who claim to offer attunements, whether they're free or paid. People have a lot of good intentions, but they don't always realize that -- without proper abilities -- they can actually do more harm than good. (I know there are people who disagree, but if you get into deep studies of energy, you'll start to understand this.)
So I don't RECOMMEND anyone. You need to use your intuition to decide on your path. However, I can point you in a direction that you can look into and determine for yourself if it's a good option.
I hired a woman for a reading a while back, and the reading was so accurate that I certainly had to admit that there was something going on here. We have since spoken extensively, and I'm confident of her integrity AND I believe she has studied a good deal in esoteric matters.
I have never used her for her Reiki services, but if I know anyone who may be able to offer what she claims to, she's the only one. (Again, I'm speaking about people I know or have interacted with well enough to comment on. I'm sure there are many others who are in fact legitimate.) She does offer long-distance attunements.
